OUR COMMITTEES

Director: James Snyder
The Data Analysis Committee works to audit the sustainability efforts of Greek organizations at UCLA and perform waste audits at events open to the public. Other projects include working on the Green Greeks Certification program and connecting chapters to Energy + Water Sustainable Alternatives.

Director: CJ Johnson
The Education Committee works on producing educational materials about environmentally-conscious living and auditing current chapter’s educational materials regarding sustainability and equity to make sure what is being presented is not harmful or performative. The Education Committee maintains and updates the Sustainability Guidebooks and New Member Education Modules.

Director: Sierra Roberts
The EJ committee works to promote awareness of societal structures that have created environmental injustices against specific communities in the LA Area. The EJ committee works to form partnerships with DEI officers in each chapter to share the resources they produce (presentations, infographics, videos) and also provides a space for GTG Members to participate in environmental activism by planning environmental activism activities for each GTG Weekly Meeting.

Director: Rebecca Guo
The Finance Committee works to support the mission of GTG Financially by applying to sustainability grants and forming partnerships with sustainable-minded businesses and ambassador programs. Finance committee is also responsible for identifying needs in the Greek community and finding financial means to fill those needs (ex: need for water equipment and e-waste receptacles).

Director: Nicole Gurzeler
The Marketing Committee works to promote the interests of GTG on the UCLA Campus and Beyond. Marketing committee maintains our website and social media accounts while also representing GTG on the Student Sustainability Leadership Council. Marketing Committee produces educational resources for social media and shares GTG Resources with universities across the country.

Director: Angel Rodriquez
The Zero-Waste committee provides practical resources for Greek Chapters to live an environmentally-conscious lifestyle and offers programming to support them in their efforts. They create educational materials specific to Zero-Waste and host events for the Greek Community.
